There’s Been a Mix-Up

This series was inspired by small, quiet moments of gender euphoria. Inhabiting a body can be awkward, uncomfortable and confusing, but amongst this turmoil, there are tiny moments of joy. When the light hits just right, a feminine body can appear masculine (or vice versa). These moments are depicted using angular brushstrokes representing muscles, and thick, soft layers of oil paint representing curves and fat. The lines between the masculine and feminine are blurred more than we realise.
